PROJECT OVERVIEW

This is project:Crimpy. A project aimed at developing an effective and intuitive rehabilitation and training product for an emerging sport. Rock climbing has rapidly grown in popularity over the last decade due to the rise of accessible indoor gyms and its combination of mental and physical challenge. The physical demands of the sport rely heavily on hand and finger strength, and one of the most common injuries among climbers is damage to the finger tendons, specifically the tendon sheaths responsible for maintaining proper tendon alignment during movement. As rock climbing is still a relatively young sport, there has been limited development within its training and rehabilitation markets. project:Crimpy brings together the strengths of existing finger-rehabilitation products and re-imagines them as an engaging, informative training tool that helps climbers recover from and manage finger injuries. The product is designed with ergonomics at its core, providing a comfortable user experience and offering room for progression through swappable resistance modules that can be configured to suit individual needs.
